Hours of operation: Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM year round
Additional summer hours: Wednesday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Closed 4th of July.
All garbage must be separated from the recyclable materials and placed in Town of Lima yellow plastic bags or in clear plastic bags if you have a current and valid hang tag disposal permit.
Town of Lima yellow bags and clear bags are sold at the site. All bags are 33 gallon plastic bags. Clear bags are 100 bags per case, $25. Yellow bags are 25 bags per sleeve, $25. Payment by check payable to the Town of Lima preferred.
Hang tag disposal permits expire on August 1 each year. Original Hang Tags and annual renewal stickers can be obtained by mailing a check for $100 payable to the Town of Lima, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to P. O. Box 225, Waldo, WI 53093-0225. Please feel free to contact Town Clerk at 920-467-6037 with any questions or concerns.
NOTE: The cost of hang-tag disposal permits will increase from $100 to $125 when you purchase them in 2019.
Recyclable materials shall include the items listed below prepared as follows – whether you have a hang tag disposal permit or not:
Mixed together in a clear or blue tinted plastic bag:
● Glass – rinsed, caps removed
● Bi-metal "tin" cans – rinsed
● Aluminum cans – rinsed
● Plastics #1 through #7 - rinsed
Mixed together, bundled with string or placed in a paper grocery bag:
● Office Paper
● All other paperboard products such as boxes from cereal, cake or other food mixes, soda or beer, etc.
All human and animal medical waste, asphalt, asphalt shingles, cement, plaster, bricks or rocks, garden waste, brush and tree trimmings, wood, stumps, dead animals, asbestos, ballasts, capacitors, tires, waste oil, cars or other vehicles, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, computers and all computer components, any item containing mercury, and any other materials considered hazardous waste by the EPA.
Effective 9/2018 — No loose ashes accepted – must be in tied plastic bag – burning barrels containing loose ash will not be accepted – barrels must be empty.
